Kodachrome Mirrors

Who might we become
    if allowed to live beyond
our names?

The pinned moth
      alone
    lies beneath
its naming.

Who does the listening
      when called
by an old

     endearment?

A shed skin
grieves no shape.

Who do we see
        when memory
colors our sight?

 Salt
    dissolved in water
can no longer be found.
